Kim’s great appreciation for cultures and wild places started at a young age seeking out elderly from both European and native cultures, lending them a helping hand when needed and listening to their stories about their amazing lives.
Kim has incorporated their values into his everyday life. Kim is still going strong over 60 years of age, guiding River Expeditions and trekking expeditions in Canada and the Indian Himalayas.

THUNDER BOW EXPEDITIONS AND AQUATERRA ADVENTURES
My relationship with ‘Aquaterra Adventures’ started when I first met Vaibhav Kala in 1990 when he was a guide working with Yousuf Zaheer, owner of ‘Himalayan River Runners’
Vaibhav branched out on his own in 1995 and created Aquaterra Adventures. In the year 2001 Vaibhav was planning a large river expedition to run the great river Brahmaputra after the big flood of 2000. He needed a helping hand of someone who was well experienced in such expeditions.
I teamed up with Vaibhav on this expedition. After this expedition our friendship has grown into a lifelong relationship. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with Aquaterra Adventures as a visiting guide and rafting consultant and mentor to all his guides and staff.
Thunder Bow Expeditions operates its trips in Himalayas through Aquaterra Adventures. The two companies have teamed up to create the ultimate adventure company for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers interested in exploring the wild Indian Himalayas
